2,000 Year-old Roman Concrete lasts 1,900 years longer than modern concrete?

In this day and age how can ancient Roman Concrete surpass all of the qualities of modern Portland cement concrete?  Consider that Roman concrete has lasted over 1,900 years underwater whereas Portland Cement barely last’s 50 years underwater.  Well, the secret is out and soon we may have much “greener” concrete.
