El Nino Finally Woke Up!


rain_on_the_roof_1920x1200El Nino has not been behaving as predicted.  Meteorologist’s last fall thought that this years El Nino would be blasting Southern California. 

However, as Nathan Cool explains in his most recent El Niño Update (2/27) it has been hitting the Northwest and Northern California – which is great for eliminating our drought.  What exactly will define the end of the drought? See Video

Just recently other meteorologists have stated that there is still six to eight more weeks left for El Nino to dump rain in Southern California. However, they are not too hopeful that we will receive the originally predicted large quantities of rain that could help our drought. Even worse, La Nina is expected to hit later this year, which reduces snow in the west and increases it in the north. Read More
